Street Installations
Definition
Installation is the applying of objects in
an urban space which actually don't really belong there. An
installation is a space-consuming
genre. It is not
about the simple fixing of objects but rather about
the narrative
spatial staging. There
exists closeness to the art in public space but the artists do not
work with principals. Moreover the artists do not ask the city laws
for permission. Installation has to do with an intervention into
the existing code- and symbol system of the city and the street. For
example fake
building sites were constructed
or customary beverage crates are combined to become one figure.
Artists
There
are many installation street artists who work quite differently. Here
